Concrete Testing

Concrete will be tested on the site or in the laboratory to determine its strength and durability or to control its quality during construction.

These tests help us, you or the builder to determine whether the concrete is as specified and that it is safe to proceed with the job or whether adjustments should be made to the mix.
These tests must be carried out carefully and in the correct manner by a qualified person or the results may be misleading and cause unnecessary delays while they are being checked.

There are several ways in which testing can be carried out, the most common being:

• Slump testing
• Compression testing
